Safe-Guard Canine Dewormer is an over-the-counter treatment used to treat and control Roundworms, Hookworms, Whipworms, and Taenia Tapeworms in dogs. This dewormer is unique in that it is the only one that can address all four major intestinal parasites in dogs using a single drug compound, fenbendazole. This minimizes the chemical exposure for your dog.

The daily dose for Safe-Guard Canine is 50 mg/kg (22.7 mg/lb) of body weight. It is important to consult your veterinarian for help with the diagnosis, treatment, and control of parasitism. It is worth noting that approximately 1% of dogs may experience vomiting as a result of using this product. Safe-Guard Canine Dewormer has no known interactions with other medications.

To administer the dewormer, mix the daily dose with a small amount of your dog’s usual food. Your dog should consume all of the medicated food. If your dog eats dry dog food, you may need to moisten it to aid in mixing the medication.

The daily dose should be repeated for 3 consecutive days. Each packet is a daily dose, and the appropriate packet should be selected based on your dog’s size. If your dog's weight falls in-between the suggested dosing sizes, it is safe to use the next higher size. For example, a 15lb dog should be treated with the 2gm packet.

This dewormer is safe for all dogs 6 weeks and older, including pregnant dogs. Deworming schedules may vary depending on the climate where you live and your dog’s activity level.

Finally, it is important to store Safe-Guard Canine Dewormer at controlled room temperature (68-77°F) to maintain its effectiveness.
